EASTERN TECHNIQUES OF HEALTH AND REJUVENATION, YOGA THERAPY

ALENA SKVORTSOVA is a physician and rehabilitologist by training, the founder of the Shanti Yoga Studio, the author of the “Shanti school” methodology (training for yoga instructors). Practices yoga since 2007. Fields of expertise: Oriental and traditional techniques of recovery and rejuvenation, yoga therapy (a graduate from the Deshikachar school, Munusami Madavan, attended Agapkin seminars), Vinyasa Yoga: dynamic-static style (completed the course of V. Malinovskaya, studied in the tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga under Sri T. Krishnamacharya - Pattabhi Jois, at the Patanjali Yoga School under Master Sheshadri, and “Yoga School 108” under Mikhail Baranov and Ilya Zhuravlev) She continues to study in the field of restorative medicine, rehabilitation, Ayurveda, philosophy of yoga and Vedanta. She also practices pranayama, meditation of Buddhist schools and Vedantic teachings.   Medical and scientific experience: KNMU 2004-2010; was a researcher at the Department of Physical Education, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Kharkov Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (KMAPE) 2010-1012; member of the scientific community of restorative medicine in Kharkov; She holds a diploma in Physical Education, defended her master's thesis on “Physical rehabilitation of post-stroke patients with spastic paresis of the hand” in 2012, after which she received the title of “Master of physical rehabilitation of the Kharkov Academy of Physical Culture”. In 2010 - 2011, she works on recovering post-stroke patients in KMAPE, in the Kharkov City Clinical Hospital No. 7 (neurological hospital). In 2010-1012, she took part in the development and filming of therapeutic physical training guides for neurological patients at the Department of Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of the KMAPE, on the basis of which educational brochures for students are now published.   Yoga experience: In 2011 she studied and practiced in Reshikesh (India) in the traditions of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga under Sri T. Krishnamacharya - Pattabhi Jois and Sivananda Yoga (all members of the International Yoga Alliance). She completed courses on the basics of Ayurveda and ethnic Indian Ayurvedic cuisine in the city of Reshikesh (India). She also studied Indian Ayurvedic Abhyang massage. 2013 - two courses: in the Kharkov school of yoga of Valentina Malinovskaya (certified in Kharkov); under Mark Derby (school Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga). 2014 - opened yoga studio "Shanti", Kharkiv. In 2015 she visited the Tamil school of the master Madavan in India (traditions of Sivananda Yoga) and took a course in Shatkarm and Pranayama. She took an advanced yoga course in Cirali (Turkey), as part of the “School of Yoga 108” by Mikhail Baranov and Ilya Zhuravlev.   2015 she began to train yoga instructors - countless graduates in rehabilitation and yoga therapy have come from under her guidance.   2016 - 10 days meditation Vipassana, Dhamalaya Center (India). The “Heart of Yoga” course at the Desikachar Yoga School of Therapy, Chennai (India). Studied Ashtanga and Pranayama under Master Sheshadri, Mysore, India. 2016 - in Kharkov, opened a school of Ayurvedic cooking and dietetics "Satsanga Shanti". 2017 was certified in the school of yoga "108" by Ilya Zhuravlev and Mikhail Baranov. Since 2016, she has been studying the philosophy of Vedanta (as the origins and a part of the yoga philosophy).   Activity: -holds intensive classes in her studio in Kharkov, does one-on-one counselling on ayurveda, yoga therapy, rehabilitation and massage. -has a popular youtube channel for beginners.  -released a series of lessons for home practice (medium level) -teaches courses for instructors every year (6 months of full-time and distance learning)  -does regular retreats in the Carpathians and India. -promotes young instructors at social health events and yoga meetings. -actively promotes yoga in Ukraine and in Europe (she teaches her own style in Germany). - gives psychological training using meditative and relaxation techniques.   About me: Heal people the way you healed yourself.
